Teaching staff and secretaries from Burgkunstadt secondary school visit Johnson Matthey in Redwitz
36 teachers and staff from the secretariat of the Burgkunstadt secondary school found out about the business areas and career opportunities in the Johnson Matthey Group and especially at the Redwitz location. The group was welcomed by managing director Peter Nemmert. He was pleased with the interest of the teaching staff, who spent an entire afternoon in the company. “Johnson Matthey continues to expand at the Redwitz location. That is why we are dependent on qualified young people, “emphasized Peter Nemmert.
HR Manager Thomas Wiesentheit presented the Johnson Matthey group and the two companies at the site to the group of visitors: Johnson Matthey Catalysts (Germany) GmbH and Johnson Matthey Piezoproducts GmbH. Thomas Wiesentheit paid particular attention to the vocational training activities. As a renowned training company, Johnson Matthey Redwitz offers young people five technical and commercial training occupations. In addition, there is also the attractive offer “FH Dual”. He placed the wish for a close cooperation between the school and Johnson Matthey and offered a wide range of cooperation options.
Then it was time to put on protective clothing. The visitors of Stefan Fieder and Manuel Wich were guided through the catalyst production in two groups. Afterwards, several employees, including former students who are now training at Johnson Matthey, were available for informal discussions. Christian Laube presented the Piezo products area before the visitor group was adopted by HR Manager Thomas Wiesentheit.
